What made me open
Café Stand Kururi?

Following my first trip to Inujima in 2016, living a comfortable life and creating something interesting by myself on Inujima soon became my dream.
Inujima’s untapped potential greatly attracted me, which made me move here from Osaka in 2019.

What we see now on Inujima

Inujima has been a tourist site as a place to revitalize local districts through modern art in recent years. Most visitors spend not only seeing around artworks but fishing, kayaking, and camping, but there isn’t any restaurants available when the art facilities are closed. That’s why I made up my mind to open a café for people who come to Inujima for any purpose other than appreciating artworks.

Also, residents on Inujima like to meet new people. They often gather at our café to talk with visitors about history and others on the island.Café Stand Kururi now seems to serve as a kind of meeting place. I hope our cafe would help visitors stay long on Inujima and discover the best of the island.

Treasure bonds with people

Our open-air café stand is located across the busy road. Under the parasols, you will see people communicating with each other as our logo describes three persons having a conversation, or the syllables, “ku”, ”ru”, ”ri” express each face of them.

A lot of friends and neighbors helped us open our café and we really appreciate their kindness. We want to treasure bonds with people and every single meeting we have.
